Ephesians 6:
5: Bondservants, be obedient to those who are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in sincerity of heart, as to Christ;

6: not with eyeservice, as men-pleasers, but as bondservants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart,

7: with goodwill doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men,

8: knowing that whatever good anyone does, he will receive the same from the Lord, whether he is a slave or free.

Constantly thanking You for your lessons. So much more to learn, so much more instructions. I pray that i would always be humble before You and having true humility.

Oh Lord, continue to guide and teach me.

Yay! First guitar lesson this thursday! Hahaha.

Word today on structural renewal by pastor Ar Bernard. He never ceases to amaze me with his sermons. What great annointing and a great man of God.

Need to digest the Word preached today. Admitedly, there'll be a massive re-evaluating of activities. (:

Restaurant Interior design.

Posted on 9/28/2010 12:16:00 PM by kennn

Some of the world's best interior modern design for restaurants!
Some of my favourites:

L’Arc Paris Restaurant + Club

L’Arc Paris Restaurant is quite aptly named– right across from those large windows is the famed Arc de Triomphe, one of Paris’ most popular landmarks. This restaurant and night club is the latest hot spot in Parisian nightlife, an exclusive locale for wheelers and dealers, the rich and the famous. The design of this establishment is courtesy of Prospect Design, a French interior firm that splits its time between Paris and Dubai. When dining at L’Arc Paris, you won’t need to go far for your after dinner drink. A swank nightclub sits right below the dining section, awaiting your advance with neon-heavy hotness.

Yellow Treehouse Restaurant – New Zealand

This isn’t exactly the Swiss Family Robinson, this treehouse restaurant is as high class as it gets. The Yellow Treehouse Restaurant in Auckland, New Zealand delivers fine dining in a stunning natural environment. 18 dinner guests dine in this chrysalis-shaped treehouse that reaches 40m from the ground at its peak. Dig this sort of thing? We also included the Yellow Treehouse Restaurant in our list of amazing Treehouse Architecture, 10 Brilliant Topiary Masterpieces. Don’t miss it!

My favourite!
Mestizo Restaurant Chile

The Mestizo Restaurant in Santiago, Chile is a truly progressive monument to design and dining. It’s foundation is composed in part by large rocks which support an over-reaching wooden shelter, stretching from the kitchen in back, over the restaurant indoors and onto a large deck patio. The design isn’t an easy one to wrap your head around, and if it weren’t set with dining tables one might mistake the Mestizo Restaurant for an art gallery, museum or even a temple.

Dining under the open night sky! What more could you ask for? In full view of the stars and moon, God's awesome handiwork!

Nomiya Temporary Restaurant – Paris

Now that’s a view. The Nomiya Temporary Restaurant in Paris is sadly no longer, but if you were amongst the few to dine within you were treated to a nearly unparalleled view of Paris, bested only by the view from the top of the Eiffel Tower in the distance. The Nomiya Restaurant was set atop the Palais de Tokyo Musuem, a modernist departure from the classical architecture below. Nomiya was quite small, mostly steel and glass, serving only a handful of very privileged diners each evening. We’re jealous.

Psalm 23:1:
THE LORD is my shepard;
I shall not want.

One of the most famous verses from the Bible.
A deeper understanding of this verse,
He opened up my eyes.

Posted on 9/27/2010 11:54:00 PM by kennn

In the year the King of Zion died
I saw the Lord seated on the throne
High and exalted
And the train of His robe filled the temple
Above Him were the seraphs
Each with six wings
With two wings that covered their faces
With two they covered their feet
With two they were flying
They were calling to one another
Holy Holy Holy is the Lord God Almighty
The whole earth is full, is full of His glory
At the sound of their voices
The doorposts and the thresholds shook
And the temple was filled with smoke
Woe to me I cried, I am ruins
For I am a man of unclean lips
And I live among a people of unclean lips
And my eyes have seen the King
The Lord Almighty
Then one of the seraphs flew to me
With live coal in his hand
Which he had taken with tongs from the altar
With it he touched my mouth and said SING
This has touched your lips
Your guilt is taken away and your sin, atoned for
And then, And then I heard the voice of the Lord say
WHOM SHALL I SEND
Who will go for us and i said
HERE I AM, SEND ME
I said HERE I AM, SEND ME
SEND ME

What would you say if I, told you that all I've thought about, is you since you've been gone.

Posted on 9/24/2010 10:28:00 AM by kennn

"The moment we are born, we start dying."

A quote so pessimistic in nature, yet that's the truth. But we do not look unto death. Eternal life is what our Savior gave us.

How limited our life here on this earth! A purpose, a reason we were all put here. Talked to my two uncles whom I have not seen in a long time. It just occurred to me how much they have aged, how much things have changed. It seemed just yesterday that they were still those young people, full of vitality and strength, playing soccer, running about. How times have changed. Time flies.

How fragile is the human life. You could be here one moment, and gone the next. It's vunerable, yet strong because of You. It's only worth it because of Your love, Your mercy, Your grace.
Only a life spent living for others is a life worth living. Only a life spent living for You is worth living.

Life's too short for regrets. Let me live it for You. Let me live it with You.

Everything is beautiful.

2: "I know that You can do everything,
And that no purpose of Yours can be withheld from You.

3: You asked, 'Who is this who hides counsel without knowledge?'
Therefore I have uttered what I did not understand,
Things too wonderful for me, which I did not know.

4: Listen, please, and let me speak;
You said,'I will question you, and you shall answer Me.'

5: "I have heard of You by the hearing of the ear,
But now my eye sees You.

I look at your smiling face
You're so weak and yet you have such strength
You take a glance around this place
And you make the best of everything

You give me hope in-spite of everything
You show me love even with so much pain
So I'll take this life and live like I was given another try
M.m.m.m

We laugh, we cry
Sometimes we're broken and we don't know why
And I'm tired and I lose my way. You help me find faith
Ooooh

You give me hope in spite of everything
You show me love even with so much pain
So I'll take this life, and live like I, was given another try
Just give me another try

You give me hope in spite of everything
You show me love even with so much pain
I'll take this life, and live like I, was given another try
Just give me another try

You show me love even with so much pain.

Success is...

Posted on 9/18/2010 12:22:00 AM by kennn

Psalm 115:1
Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us,
But to Your name give glory,
Because of Your mercy,
Because of Your truth.

Success. It means a different thing to every single one of us. For some of us, it means getting that good grades in our exams. For some, it might mean having good relationships with their family and friends. For others, it might mean being financially stable.

What does success mean to you? Success comes in stages, it arrives step by step. For now, you might have a goal today, and once reaching it, you will have succeeded, thus reaching your status of achieving that success. Some people will bask in that success and stay where they are, or go on to define their next step of success. The most important thing is our response to success should be like David.

Contentment and satisfaction. Be CONTENTED with what you have, but never be SATISFIED with your current success. Be like David, who spent his life looking for exploits in God. Whom ruled and raided and con-quested for 40 years for God. An attitude that befit this was the trust you have in God. Rather be trusting God and fail, than rely on our own methods and succeeding. Commit all to God.

Jared asked us what does success mean to us. In my heart, I know mine. In my heart, God sees mine. But it got me thinking. Hard. It's time to redefine it.

I asked.
It was liberal and without reproach.

When I was younger,
I wish that I would have known better.
Better love makes a fat romance,
that lasts for more than a shoe shine.
Im older, took all the words of my mother, saying,
It could be worse,
could be born with that disease,
instead of catching it first.
So lets go back, to the first time,
that I met you, in your Chevy,
with your hands stretched,
and me crying, screaming, Mercy. Mercy.
But I know that, I was put here, to fight Vikings
in the cold war, with my arms out,
in the front lines, singing, Dare me. Dare me.

But these things take time love.
These things take backbone.
And they'll tell you what you want to hear
cause they think its better. Better.
But you better know how to point out the liars.
You've got to weigh your wars make sure youre not fighting for nothing. Nothing.
Are you fighting for nothing?

It feels like this world has been
growing slowly upside down.
Maybe I should move to China,
and straighten this mess out.
Maybe Ill be a poet.
Watch all the sky for falling words.
And write about my grandmas curtains,
or the lady who put the Chinese buffet in her purse.
Ive got my mouth.
Its a weapon. Its a bombshell.
Its a cannon. Ive got my words.
I wont give them mercy. Mercy.

But these things take time love.
These things take backbone.
And theyll tell you what you want to hear
cause they think its better. Better.
But you better know how to point out the liars.
You've got to weigh your wars make sure you're not fighting for nothing. Nothing.
Are you fighting for nothing?

Ive got my words. I hope they hurt you.
I hope they scar you. I hope they heal you.
I hope they cut you open,
make you see you've been warring
for all the wrong reasons.

Make you see that some things are worth bruising for.
Make you see that your name is your honor code.
Make you see that your hands you're accounted for.
Pick and choose where your sweat and your blood will go.
Make you see your life's not to be lived alone.
Run their spit through your hair, you're worth nothing. Nothing.

But these things take time love.
These things take backbone.
And they'll tell you what you want to hear
cause they think its better. Better.
But you better know how to point out the liars.
You've got to weigh your wars make sure youre not fighting for nothing. Nothing.
Are you fighting for nothing?

Totally addicted.

Soulmates?

Posted on 9/15/2010 04:19:00 PM by kennn

Came across this randomly on the website.

Question: "Is there such a thing as soul mates? Does God have one specific person for you to marry?"

The common idea of a “soul mate” is that for every person, there is another person who is a “perfect fit,” and if you marry anyone other than this soul mate, you will never be happy. Is this concept of a soul mate biblical? No, it is not. The soul mate concept is often used as an excuse for divorce. People who are unhappy in their marriage sometimes claim that they did not marry their soul mate and therefore should divorce and begin the search for their true soul mate. This is nothing more than an excuse, a blatantly unbiblical excuse. If you are married, the person you are married to is your soul mate. Mark 10:7-9 declares, “A man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh. So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.” A husband and wife are “united,” “one flesh,” “no longer two, but one,” and “joined together,” i.e., soul mates.

A marriage may not be as unified and joyous as a couple wishes it to be. A husband and wife may not have the physical, emotional, and spiritual unity that they desire. But even in this instance, the husband and wife are still soul mates. A couple in such a situation needs to work on developing true “soul mate” intimacy. By obeying what the Bible teaches about marriage (Ephesians 5:22-33), a couple can develop the intimacy, love, and commitment that being “one flesh” soul mates entails. If you are married, you are married to your soul mate. No matter how disharmonious a marriage is, God can bring healing, forgiveness, restoration, and true marital love and harmony.

Is it possible to marry the wrong person? If we give ourselves to God and seek His guidance, He promises to direct us: “Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight” (Proverbs 3:5-6). The implication of Proverbs 3:5-6 is that if you are not trusting in the Lord with all your heart, and are leaning on your own understanding, you can go the wrong direction. Yes, it is possible, in a time of disobedience and lack of close fellowship with God, to marry someone whom He did not desire you to marry. Even in such an instance, though, God is sovereign and in control.

Even if a marriage was not God’s desire, it is still within His sovereign will and plan. God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16), and “marrying the wrong person” is never presented in the Bible as grounds for divorce. The claim “I married the wrong person and will never be happy unless I find my true soul mate” is unbiblical in two respects. First, it is a claim that your wrong decision has overridden God’s will and destroyed His plan. Second, it is a claim that God is not capable of making a struggling marriage happy, unified, and successful. Nothing we do can disrupt God’s sovereign will. God can take any two people, no matter how mismatched, and mold them into two people who are perfect for each other.

If we maintain close fellowship with God, He will lead us and guide us. If a person is walking with the Lord and truly seeking His will, God will lead that person to the spouse He intends. God will lead us to our “soul mate” if we submit to Him and follow Him. However, being soul mates is both a position and a practice. A husband and wife are soul mates in that they are “one flesh,” spiritually, physically, and emotionally united to each other. In practice, though, there is a process of taking what a couple is, soul mates, and making that a day-by-day reality. True soul mate oneness is only possible by implementing the biblical pattern of marriage.

Soulmates?
An excuse for divorce.
The person whom you choose to marry, live with, and love for your whole life is your soulmate.

pray without ceasing,

Pray when my heart may fail me.
Pray when troubles and burdens may surround me.
Pray when I become impatient.
Pray even though I have a thousand things on my mind.
Pray when I start to lose faith.
Pray while I seek a revival.
Pray when I start to lean upon my own understanding.
Pray even when I think You are far away.
Pray while You teach me.
Pray when I am unsure.
Pray when I am awake.
Pray as I seek You.
Pray for every big thing.
Pray for every little thing.
Pray for this.
Pray for that.
Pray nevertheless.
Pray even though.
Pray even if.
Pray. Just pray.
Pray without ceasing.

..and that's what I'll do.

4: "Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love.

5: "Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place- unless you repent.

Do you remember your first love for God? When you came face to face with Him every cell group meeting, every service, every quiet time? When everytime you worship Him, or talk to Him, you would weep like a baby just in His presence? When You feel His love so strongly, that just thinking of it made you cry like no tomorrow?

Finally, finally, my first love returned. After months of waiting and seeking.

Today's a really fun yet impromtu day LOL. A truly awesome breakthrough service. Then walking around, watching how sticky sweets are made, watching ballroom dances at esplanade, and listening to a live band playing some of our favourite songs! =P
Inspired.

What happened at the Waterfront is just so funny. hahaha. A cute little ang moh boy got cheated of his first kiss to SOMEONE. LOL. And all because of some raspberry sweets! Little 'whatever' boy. Haha! =P
No wonder they teach little kids not to talk to strangers and accept sweets from them! LOL!

Praise the Lord for an awesome schedule this coming week. Hallelujah!
Tired. Goodnight!
